Quick Planar 3 question

Hi all

Is the motor pulley on a Planar 3 meant to be rigid or suspended? Should it move as
though suspended when gently pushed?

If not, what might be the problem?

The motor on some of the RP's is suspended on a rubber band below the platter - hence the movement.

True, the older Planar 3 has its motor mounted suspended with a rubber belt, while the newer Px models have their motors mounted directly onto the plinth.
