I use an Origin Live VTA adjuster on my RB300. Here's some more: http://www.analogueseduction.net/search ... vta+spacer

Cheers,
Frank.

Go to a local bike shop in your area and find some spacers that are used in the headset of standard bike frames. A lot cheaper than $15.00 a pop for a rega spacer.

These 3 point shims were just introduced. ($75?)
You are not going to hold these down with wood screws.

Now there are two excellent ideas!

Mine are going to say Chris King on them, and match a paint job like RoDa's hee hee!

Too bad you might need more than one set of the Acoustic Signature ones with some carts. I guess you can buy a cheaper 2mm single shim and use the $75 set to fine tune.

I have a expressimo vta adjuster. Love it. Why would you need a 3 pointer for a rb300 or rb600 Tonearm?

You do if you have a 3 point mount arm like 303, 700, etc.
Just to post what is available out there.
The "Expressimo" is very good I had one when I was using the RB300.

If you read the package, for $75 gives 2 ranges of adjustment and can raise the arm
2-4 mm .

For buyers in the USA and Canada, I have this from the importer today (June 2012- all prices US Dollars):

You can purchase the shims for Rega tonearms directly from me. There are two different sets available, depending on the VTA adjustment range you need.

Just wanted to chime in here...I just bought the 4 piece kit as mentioned from the distributor noted above-Goerner Communication
. (Set 2 0.5-6.5mm Stainless steel 0.5-6.5mm $95.00 (4 pcs: 0.5mm; 1mm; 2mm; 3mm; stackable)

I have a Rega P5 with RB 700 arm and installed a new Audio Technica AT 150 MLX. First with no spacers, then with the 3mm, then added the 2mm. Adding these spacers really is crazy fast and takes less time than adjusting the VTA on my Thorens!! Just loosen the 3 screws on the tonearm base, insert spacer and re-tighten. Great kit and highly recommended.

I saw a really nice one-piece version of this idea (imagine a fat letter C with three notches) at the website of some firm which bundled Rega or Moth TT's onto their turntables. And they were black, too: a big plus for many of us. I have lost the link, but if I find it...

ON EDIT: found it:
http://www.george-warren.com/#!tone-arm

I spoke with Mr. Warren: he's never sold any to people who don't own his gear but he said he'd think it over and email me info. 1/32", 1/16" and 1/8" are the thicknesses.

One drawback of the C-shape is the less-than circular shape: maybe that's an issue??
