Nope, I never stop the platter unless a record has an extremely tight fit on the spindle.

Thank you for the reply gents. I currently am awaiting my ref sub platter and guess I have the tough choice of white/black. All the comments in this thread leads me to believe that Delrin might be right for me.

Thanks Bacobits! I do like the Classe 15 a lot. I swapped out two Bryston 4b's for it and haven't looked back.

Looks like it has got Frank's subplatter and counterweight as well but the Elys2 cartridge will have to be changed for it to sound really "awesome," watercourse

I installed the reference subplatter, delrin platter, and counterweight for a customer located in my area. He is going to upgrade the cartridge. :D

Thought I saw an Exact peeking out from under the headshell (before the cropped photo). Wasn't too bad a cart on my P5.

I must be a good researcher as I've had a GT Black Platter since 2010...
Here's a pic from the VE post at the time.

The white does look nice too, dam you Frank :) :) 1595215951 15954

I did see that but never questioned if it was Delrin etc. Your P2 looks like a real keeper. MS always made nice arms.
That RP3 Frank posted is sharp looking too.
That might be the better route to go rather than a stock RP6, me thinks.

I have a custom plinth that houses all Rega parts and constructed to the old Rega Planar II dimensions plus/minus 1-2 mm

I would like to get this platter, but I have not been able to get the dimensions so I can determine whether or not it will fit over the sub-platter and motor/pulley assembly

I have heard of cases where some platters rub on the motor pulley

Would someone be so kind as to post the following dimensions of this platter
- Diameter of, and Depth of the Sub-platter Recess on the underside
- Platter Diameter and Thickness

Many Thanks in advance

Hi, what is the center to center distance between the motor pulley and subplatter spindle?
Are you using the stock Rega belt and subplatter?
What is the distance from the top of the plinth to the top of the motor pulley?
I can tell you if it will work if you give me those dimensions.

All measurements made with a vernier caliper
Distance between centres - 74mm
Using an ISOKinectic sup platter
Plinth to Top of pulley - 10.5 mm

Many Thanks
