EDIT:
Just timed 100 rounds to 2:59,8

0,55617353 rounds pr sec, vs 0,5555555555... rounds pr sec for 33 1/3.

0,111235 percent error.......
Crisis? What crisis? 8)

in US that's .001112, or 1.1/1000 sec. With the TTPSU? Pretty close? Pretty far?
Crisis? WHAT CRISIS?? ARRRRGGGHHH! :D

LOL!

It's scary how close it is, timed it twice with the same result.
Will have to recheck with a more accurate method than the counting of 100 rounds....?

A few words about the drill through tweak, maybe?

Again it's the impression that things are more precise, specially in the treble.
The first thing I noticed was the more stable stereo image, and the vocals beeing more "there" in the room.
But I was wondering if the bass lost some weight....
Several records later I have agreed that it didn't, but it is tightened up so that the difference between recordings are bigger, and the bass is more like "only there when called for". It's hitting harder but not as wide as earlier.
This may also be adjusted by how hard you tighten the wing nuts, the tighter the nuts the tighter the sound. Mine are only finger tightened.

Roda:

This is great!! Thank you. At the risk of being of being a total PITA, maybe you should start a new thread replicating your post, so it can stand on its own, be stickied, and be added to as time goes by!

I wish I knew how to find a hyperlink like these on this site. Is there an icon or something I should look for?

Thanks again...

Thank you Etnier :)

I'm not shure how to get in touch with the mods on this site, but it might be an idea to edit those links into the first post in this thread?

The hyperlink is the small square sheet in front of "by Etnier 04 May 2012 21:59" in your latest post here.
Click on it, and the hyperlink appears in your adress-field in your browser.

Not a bad guess! It was my initial plan.
What colour would be cool?

To keep it reversible, I'd make new pieces (maybe alter the shape a bit too) and paint them a matte silver to match the arm.

Or just use some more exotic wood such as a nice rosewood. Zebrawood would also look quite cool on there.

Another idsea (maybe reversile) is to get carbon fiber 'wrap' as used for car interior trim covering (made by 3M I think) and cover them incarbon cloth for the high-tech look. (that would look best with a carbon arm tube but still cool regardless...)
