@ The Walrus,

A question for you: have you noticed a change in tonal character on your DL-110 after radical surgery?

Reason for asking is that the little disc in front of the coil is one of two rubber dampers in this design (front and rear of the coils). It seems to me that leaving the frontal damper without its anchoring body will alter its damping function, and the upper midrange tonal signature.
Any observations on this?

Thanks all,

I took the photo few weeks ago by my Nikon D700 with some old film gears the bellow PB5 and reverse mounted with a Nikkor 28mm lens.

I'm new to this record stuff. Also, this is a pretty bad Technics turntable (SL-D30). It skips and damages my records and the cartridge is pretty bad.
