Decca portable turntable question

Postby wynmerch » 01 Aug 2012 19:18

I was recently given an old Decca suitcase turntable with built-in speakers from a friend. The problem is that one of the speakers is blown, and even if they both worked, they're crap speakers. Does anyone know if there's any way to bypass the internal speakers and connect the turntable to external speakers?

You could put your choice of connectors through the sides of the case, and run the wires that are on the internal speakers to them.

Cheers,
Alec

Thanks for the response,

So if I attached two 1/8" mounts, one for each of the stereo cables, could I just plug in a set of externally powered digital speakers?
