Dual cs 606 counterweight for adaptor

Postby matteos » 11 Jul 2012 18:25

Hi all, I bought a DUAL CS 606 for $25 and managed to get the adaptor for standard cartridges, however the ULM arm is now far too heavy at the cart end, I read that there is alos some kind of extra weight to add to the counterweight to balance this out at the moment when the arm is in the up position it is actually below the level of the record. Would anyone know if there is an extra weight and if so where or how I would go about getting a hold of one.
TIA

What cartridge do you have on it?

I have this one

A mission stonehill (came with what the adaptor I was sold) will most likely switch it for the AT95E in a few months.

Thanks

Look at the rear of the counterweight. There should be a small, threaded hole there. If you can find a screw to fit this, you are half way there. The extra weight was simply a metal disc that attached there, but you could use almost anything.
