Fred: No worries, it's pretty normal that there's a bit of visible glue from fixing the cantilever to the magnet holder (for the AT V-magnet MMs) and even more to fix the coils on the coil holder (for that type of AT MCs). And as you can see on the pics, in both cases the damper ring isn't messed up with glue, so I don't see any real signs that would hint to failed diy repair.

Was there anything misunderstandable about it? So, again, and as also already mentioned in that thread, you'd need to install an ATN3200 family needle instead, in order to convert the MC705 to high output.
