Empire Troubador Mk I value

Postby fburtt » 19 Jun 2012 03:04

HI,

I've got an opportunity to pick up an Empire troubadour Mk I, w/ original box, packing, and paperwork for $400. It looks mint, but I have no idea what these typically go for.

Anyone have any insight?

Is it a good deal or a fleecing?

(My first post, BTW. I really appreciate all the information here. The manual for my SME 3009 II arm was a huge help!)

Thanks,

If everything works properly, that price doesn't sound out of line. I paid $200 for a filthy but complete 1962 Empire 398 (208 + 980 arm) a couple of months ago. It was easy to restore and now sports an SME 3009 S2.

If the cosmetics are good and everything is in generally good order, that price doesn't sound out of line at all.
