Pioneer PL-L1000 Tonearm Elevation Mechanism

Pulled my PL-L1000 out of the closet after 15-years disuse to discover the small belt that operates the tonearm elevation is broken. Can anyone point me toward a replacement source. A properly sized rubber band would probably provide a temporary fix, but I doubt it would make it the 40+ years I've owned this TT.

You could try asking eBay seller "professor-bizzt". He has a collection of PL-L1000's, has been repairing them for a while and also manufactures some of his own after market components such as counter-weights.

I've been considering o-rings -- hopefully I can find the correct size. I appreciate the tip on "professor-bizzt" for maybe an direct experience answer. Any other suggestions or known sources out there?
