Is 3009 sme base plate compatible with Sound St-14

Postby stuart » 04 Apr 2012 01:44

I purchased a Sound Audio st-14 arm for a diy turntable project I am working on, the base plate looked similar to the sme but after purchasing a clearaudio arm board for sme I realized the Sound Audio base plate does not match the hole pattern on the arm board...now I am wondering if I can just swap Sound Audio base plate for an sme?...the hole pattern for the Sound Audio base plate are...2 1/2"x 1 1/2" for arm board holes...plate to base up to acorn nuts screw holes are 1 3/8" apart...would anyone out there know what the screw distances are for the sme.
