Hi Phil,
fixing the bent idler wheel arm did improve things a lot, but it was still slow. I also noted that the
motor was not sitting straght on the rubbers, so I packed with rubber washers as IMO the rubber mounts had gone a bit soft. With the
motor square and the idler square the speed was only slightly slow, so as an experiment I tried putting a soft rubber belt round the idler wheel as a tyre to see if it helped, but the TT ran much slower so I removed the tyre. I cant help thinking that maybe the idler has suffered a bit of creep, but with use somehow this has stopped
