problem with TD125 + VMS 20E

Postby puje_fr » 28 Jul 2012 22:00

Hi all
i've just finished to install the tonearm and i have a problem:
when I put the phono in of my amp (onkyo TX 876  ), if i up the volume I heard nothing special...
but when the motor runs, I head a "vrooomm"... not very powerfull but it is here and not very cool...

I unplug the wire of the ground and it is more audible.

Do you have an idea for this problem?

parasites? but where?

Thanks for your help...

okay I will answer to myself...
very simple : the belt was touching a guide for the changing of speed.
Since I solved it, everything is OK!
I put this message, maybe this might be useful for others.

How did you solve that? Does the motor adjust?

No, I just bend a little the guide after the pulley. That's all.
