TD 126 MkIII DC motor failure rate

Postby nitrousssss » 15 Jul 2012 03:46

This question is for those of you who are familiar with servicing many TD 126 Mk III tables in the past: is there a high failure rate of the DC servo motors in this particular model ??? Or are there other known common issues which will result in the motor failing to turn? I ask to get a headsup before I start to troubleshoot my tables. I have 2 of these tts, both of which power on, but whose motors fail to spin.

The most problems I had with these tables are motor driveelectronics and sometimes a motor itself.
Please check first the motor with a ohm meter .

My TD 126 MK III will not turn on. In reading the manual I see reference to "fuses". Since this inability to get power happened after storage and without any warning, could it be a blown fuse? If so how can that be serviced before I go for a new motor?

Thanks,
