TD125Mk2 Tonearm Lift

Postby zoedog » 14 Jul 2012 18:58

I am relatively new to VE and this is my first post. Please excuse me if this question has already been answered on the forum and I've missed it. I recently purchased a TD125Mk2 in exceptional condition from the original owner. It is a very low hours unit that has been in storage for a number of years. Love the table and everything works as it should except lately the tonearm lift has slowed to the point where sometimes it will not lower the tonearm (a TP16), and when it does raising and lowering is painfully slow. Obviously the old oil/grease has hardened and the lift needs to be cleaned and relubricated. Any instructions on how to go about taking the armlift apart as well as recommendations on what new lubricant to use? Thanks for any help.

You can take the armlift apart from the underside ,two screws but firts you must take off the bar where the arm rest on.
Use a little bit siliconoil 300000 or 500000 for on the plunjer .
