TD160 advice

Postby ishmac » 31 Jan 2012 17:16

Hi all;

Presently returned to vinyl after a short break, recently got myself a stop gap Dual 504 tt, but I've always loved the shape/design of the Thorens TD 160.

Question is; in the 160 range do they have an 'S' version, and also a Mk1 and Mk2 version to? What's the difference between them all. Which might be the best bang for your buck 160 model please?

I'm assuming a TD160 would sound superior to my Dual 504 tt ok..?

Thanks for any replies/advice/experience!

Hi Ishmac,
Depends what's available & the Price :?
I have a TD160 Super - (it has manufacturer fitted Sound Insulation inside & a more solid Base board)
I made up my own Arm board & fitted my modded RB250 arm, It sounds Great :D
Happy hunting
