Postby langers2004 » 07 Jan 2012 10:11

Hi,

I have a thorens td 125mkii. Ive cleaned all of the connections on it as far as i can tell and have checked all of the fuses however the motor still does not seem to turn.
I think i may be a little out of my depth. Im looking for someone in the west midlands area for some help or to recommend someone i can take this to for repair.

Hi,
the motor will be driven by two phases. Does the motor vibrating? Then one of the two phases is missing. For more analysis an expert with an oscilloscope will be recommended. Look then for the alignment of the two phases will be correct. Also look, that you have the service manual with circuit diagram, otherwise load it down.

Try these posts for possible solutions. There are many TD125 owners in the same boat, but luckily it's usually only the large capacitors that need changing.

Can you solder? Do you have a multimeter?
