I post this with almost a year delay.

For anyone interested I have a TP16 - TP11 rewiring guide with photos.

It took about an hour or two to complete it and its a shame not to share it with you guys.

I believe it's easy for anyone who has a bit of patience and a DIY spirit.
To be honest, I felt safe to proceed because I had a spare tonearm but in the end proved to be a good decision.

Dimitris (or anyone else), can you help with a question about my TP 16 Mk I arm?

I've gotten the tube out, but I can't find a way to remove the clear plastic collar at the end of it. (I want to save this because I want to keep the ability to swap headshells after the rewire is done.) I've removed the tiny pin through the plastic collar, but the diagonal bar (with two sharp pointy ends) that bisects the tonearm at the other end is preventing me from sticking anything down the tube to push the collar out. I tried a thick piece of wire, but it doesn't work.

So, how can I remove that sharp pointy bar? If I could only remove that (without breaking it), I think my job would be a lot easier. As it is, I'm stuck.

Got it figured out. There's no removing that bar. I just lubed the end of the tube with the collar on it and then pushed the collar out with a stiff wire.

I did mine following the instructions, only a couple issues. I stretched the little spring, and replaced it, and there is a waffled spring/washer that is not seen anywhere in the pics.

Beginners questions:

- How do you remove the VTF weight from the tonearm? Its attached by a string to the gauge and I can't find instructions anywhere on how to remove

- How did you remove the shaft in step 2?

- When taking your new wire straight to RCA jacks, I believe it should be signal to hot and shield to ground for each jack, then tonearm ground to right jack ground, right jack ground to nut on chassis? I'm confused because lots of guides are mentioned shielding wires wrapped around as well, soldered to one end only?
