Postby elastifiks » 17 Feb 2006 23:13

Hi There!

I have problems with the armlift function of my SL-1410 mk-II; When I move the handle, nothing happens! Do one of you have an explanation, or better a solution.

Thx.

1410MKII arm lift

Postby Don Nebel » 25 Feb 2006 03:55

This is a very common problem with the 1300, 1400,and 1500MKII series. There is a plastic part in the lift mechanism that breaks. I have owned 2 of these tables and both were broken. The overwhelming majority of the tables listed on Ebay have this problem. There are no repair parts available. Don Nebel

Hoi, je kan je platenspeler laten maken, maar alleen in Amerika bij http://www.theturntablefactory.com Dus niet echt de moeite waard. Maar goed, er valt best mee te leven een kapotte arm lift, niet?

Gr, Panos.

I have fixed a couple...

It is a plastic-part that usually breaks/splits. I cleaned it up, and used a brass paper-clip melted thru the plastic...
Lube it with a little silicone-oil/spray afterwards.

HiCobra!

Long time ago you fixed the 1410. You don't remember how you did it?
I mean did yo have to disassmble the entire Tonearm module-plate or could you fix the plastic piece while still at place in the the tonearm-assembly or did you have to remove the plastic piece from it?

Best regards and hope you're still active in this forum!

If I remember...I think you will have to dismantle most of the arm-base internals...
