Did you try cleaning the old ones? If you can't find new ones, I think copies with the same specs would suffice.

It is a bit confusing same questions are asked spread over different topics, please keep it to one only...
I assume you are referring to the 2 600Ohms speed adjusters? (VR5 and VR6)
What makes you think they are not okay?

And have you checked whether VR1 and VR2 are okay?
No point in changing something when you haven't looked at the rest, VR1 and VR2 (1K each) are in series with VR5 and VR6 and these are located underneath the platter in the lower left corner

Well, then I suggest you watch Ebay to see if one comes by...
Search criteria SL-1600/1700/1800 and ignore the MK2 versions...
Quit often you see parts being sold...

If I where you, I'll buy new 560 Ω pots of the same mechanical dimensions. 600 is not a standard value. 560 is but it could be very difficult to find. Availability of such parts has shrunk a lot to concentrate on a small set of common values.
So start searching....

P.S. : Add a 47 Ohm on the outer leg to make the total to 600 Ω because it is the total value that make the speed.

this is for my father. He is the owner of the Technics SL1500 MK1. I am helping him source these 2 potentiometers which are not working at all. I think he tried mouser and they sent him a wrong one.

No one seems to have a solution available such as a provider that sells these pots.

Hello,
These pots where made for Technics, probably in house, and are unobtainium.
At the time the SL-1500 was sold, maybe another source was available because pot makers had a lot of reference. They where heavily used in the analog world. Now everybody has gone digital, pots do not sell by the ton as they used to be. A lot of makers have disappeared and the remaining one stick to standardized values and in the series of standard values, to the ones that sell (mainly for volume/balance and tone control in amplifiers). 600 Ω never had been a standard value. So it was special..... You may find a pot maker willing to make these pots if you buy him say 1000 or 10 000 pieces. But you need a lot of cash, and storage space ....
If the pots are totally dead, adapt the closest value you can find and live with it. If you can salvage the resistor path and the wiper, try to find a pot with the same size and try to migrate the old wiper and carbon track to the new housing... Not for the faint of heart and a great chance of failure doing this ... But it can be done if you find a pot from the same maker and same model.
It is difficult enough to find a current model that has the same axe and size to use the old button... So be prepared to surprises also from this end of the stick....
You may also ask Technics if they still have the part number available. But Christmas was last month..

The pitch control user potentiometers for the SL-1500 are the same used for the SL-1300-SL-1800 models. They're common on eBay or from other vendors of parted out turntables. However, the 33 1/3-Off-45 RPM switch was not. That latter item I had to hunt down a replacement for on my example. Took me a while to find one.
