Hi,

To allow for the owners and users of a 3D-printer to repair their Technics I've edited a design on Thingiverse. You can find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4010164 free to download.

This requires the user to just remove the tab itself, without cutting into the cover or removing the triangular supports. It worked on my SL-Q33, but I'm open for suggestions.

I would be very interested in a set if you still have any available.

Hi all,

I recently bought a pair of 3D-printed hinges from Lowlander2 and he asked me to share a few pictures on the forum. I had them installed on my trusty old SL-D2 and it works wonderfully well.

This was the problem:

I used just a file and a chisel to get rid of the old broken hinge:

Fitting the new hinge:

Only one of the hinges was broken, but I decided to replace both for esthetic reasons:

Hi all,

For the people who own or have access to a 3D-printer: I made a remix of my earlier design since the first one didn't work on the longer term (the lip bent). This one also contains the triangular supports. It looks a lot like Lowlander2's design, which is unintentional. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4121606

Hi, lowlander2,
Are these parts kits still available?
I have only recently resurrected my nearly 45-year-old SL-D2 and one of the cover tabs is broken off.
Seem like your parts are a great option to a replacement cover ... and they enable me to maintain my original cover.
I would also be interested in your polishing technique for these dust covers because mine has significant wear that I might like to remove.
Thanks,
