TRADE: a Shure M3D w/ 2x needles for a GE VR-1000-7

Post by zwarte-romantiek » 22 Mar 2011 09:03

Fell in love with that GE sound. Got already a GE Vr-ii and a
GE Vr-22. I want to (have and) hear a GE vr-1000 (-7).
I got a SHURE with 2 (elliptical) needles. One needle is brandnew and the other is slightly used (about 5-6 hours). So practical like new.
So I wanna trade this SHURE M3D w/ 2 needles for a
GE VR-1000-7.

:P :P :P

Hi,

I did read that you want to trade, but just to make s(h)ure - would you consider selling outright?

Regards, werner

Hi Bran,

Here
http://www.pickupnaald.nl/?page=shop/fl ... ct_id=3192

The website is also in English. A needle will cost ya 29 euros (without shipping). They also sell a 78 RPM needle and a spherical needle for the SHURE M3D.

I sold my M3D long ago. The sound did not please me as other vintage cartridges do, like my GOLDRING G600 or a GE VR-ii / VR-22.
Recently I bought an ELAC STS-222. Need to find a good needle for it. Looking forward to hearing this cartridge.

Soon, I hope to hear an EMPIRE 88 and a GE RPX cartrigde.

Good luck,

Niels
