Marantz TT 4000

I have a chance to pick up a Marantz TT 4000 turntable with a Yamaha amp, technics speakers, a sony CD player (don't want it) and SE-405 pineer headphones and some headphones for $150.

The power switch for the Marantz must be broken, because it turns on automatically when it's plugged in. Furthermore, it needs a new needle.

Currently, I'm using an Ion TTUSB hooked up to a Sansui QRX-7001. Will the Marantz be easy to fix and will it be a worthwhile upgrade over the TTUSB when plugged into the Sansui?

Also, the bundle comes with Technics SB-L76 speakers. Will these be compatible/sound good (in terms of wattages and what not) with my Sansui?

Thanks!

I found one source referring to the Marantz as one of their TOTL turntables. This should embarass your Ion. Switches can be replaced.
Yamaha made/makes good amps.
The speakers look decent.
Pioneer SE-405 headphones were also highly regarded.

Cheers,
Alec
