Wanted Sansui 717

Turntable. What's out there? I've been looking for the right table. I have a very nice 525 now, looking to upgrade.

ebay just had a 717. It went for $150. The best Sansui is either the SR-838 or SR-929. You will pay for them though.

I watched that sale, it just wasn't clean enough. Perhaps I should dream bigger and wait for a 929.

I have a nice Sansui 717..I haven't used it in years and when I set it up to transfer some records it works, but the speed varies....seemed to work o.k. for the first half hour, but then the speed started varying will sell if someone wants to fix it...

I have a 717 that was like new until shipped. Now I have to work on it. Everything is there and was hardly used. Motor speed not constant so probably the voltage regulators, broken strobe and an upset owner (me) no more shipping unless I pack it! Would sell it if right offer otherwise it will be another winter project...

First thing to try is cleaning all switches and controls with contact cleaner.
