AT440MLa cartridge for sale

Postby cytovette » 25 May 2012 12:03

I bought this cart and headshell in December and have used it for about 10-15 hours on clean LPs. After adding adjustable input impedance to my pre-amp I find myself using my Shure M97xe instead.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it I just don't use it so I might as well sell it.

You can check out my feedback on Ebay, username cytowing.

$150 shipped/insured in the CONUS, shipping outside of the US may be more I will have to check it out. Will consider trades of equal value, I also have a set of modded Klipsch KG4s for sale/trade, $300. http://s1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc5 ... Video/KG4/

You can contact me through my website http://www.bearfootnlodge.com/ don't want to post an email address on the forum.

Hi,
I have a Thorens TD150 MKII with the original tonearm TP13a (and the original TP-50 headshell as well) , that I like, for many reasons , and want to keep as is !I would like to use a M97xe you are talking about.May I ask you an advice ,please? I'm new in turnable. So , my problem at the moment is: can I drill the headshell in order to put this cartrige that does not suit in the original screw connection?( the screws I have are too long and those coming with the cartrige, not the same diameter)
there are 2 marked holes in front of the regular fixation of the headshell, like imprints of holes, meadow cut, under the small patch fixed at the end of the headshell, where Thorens is written. Is it possible to drill this piece ?is it possible to do that?Is it going to modify the soundt?... Or I just have to find little screws, with the right shape, in order to fix the cartrige in the original headshell's screw connection?
thank's a lot!

Best regards
Pascal

I use 2 Thorens TD150 turntables and have used a variety of cartridges.

There is no need to drill the headshell, all you need to do is purchase a set of Thorens mounting screws, which are readilly available and come with screws of different lengths to suit different cartridges. These screws will be of the correct diameter to fit your headshell.

I believe I purchased my last set from a supplier on ebay but I am sure there will be other sources that can also supply you.
