Nice looking deck although the arm appears to have been stolen from a Dalek!

No Daleks were hurt in the production of the SD-800.

In which year was manufactured this turntable?
Is direct or belt drive?
Class of motor?

Hi Jose, must be from the mid-70s, around 1974 I guess. Belt drive, suspended subchassis, synchronous motor, very similar to the earlier Acoustic Research decks. Plinth is made of aluminium, steel subchassis, high quality bearing. Unfortunately the turntable is in no good condition, lots of work to do.
