40vdc from rectifier to 2200uF filter cap and LT317 regulator. R1=100 ohms & R2=1500 ohms to set LT317 output to 21vdc. Disconnect stock regulator and connect LT317 output to jumper between C3 and lamp connector.

Leon1210 again - I see you have coated the inside of the main deckplate with some kind of compound - why? and what is it? I am very curious.

Hi Russ,

I'd like to give this mod a shot. Haven't picked up a soldering iron since 1976, but what the hell. Where did you mount resistors R1 and R2 for the voltage divider?
