Just bought EB-101 and turns out to have US motor, control board and pulley which is not much use here in UK.
Does anyone have UK spec motor and pulley for sale or in exchange for US version? Does anyone need US motor/pulley?
Any additional help with sourcing UK motor and pulley would be appreciated.

I wish you had posted that a year ago.
You're right, you need the control board as well since the UK model has a big resistor in there. If you could figure that out you might be able to get away with the pulley which is larger that the one you've got. |

The motors are all the same..the control board for the UK(220V) model just has some electronics on it that steps down the voltage to 110..
The pulley is of course different.
this is the instructional drawing that came with my table. It was at one time a 220 table converted to 110..perhaps you could reverse the procedure by looking at what they added to do the step down. i.e. were it says remove the 3.8k resistor you add it.
these are pics of a control board set up for 110..if someone could post pics for a board set up for 220 it should clear things up quite well.

That is a US model motor. The same seller has a UK EB 101 - it may be easier to buy that if it goes for a good price. |

Thanks for all your help guys... all being well I've found a UK pulley.
All I need now is to work out wiring for 240v operation... anyone willing to have a look at a 240v control board and send me sketch of circuit and capacitor and resistor ratings? |

I just found this message thread while googling for some info about my own EB101. I thas been in storage for the last 18 years (since 1990). I purchased my unit in Germany, so it has the 220v/50Hz configuration. Not much use in the US. If you still have the parts from your conversion, let's talk. Sorry I wasn't on this forum last year--we could have just swapped turntables and saved a whole lot of work!
Let me know if you were NOT able to convert and may still be interested in swapping tables. |
