I have a Dual CS 455 with Dual DN251E cartridge.
Can anyone tell me correct tracking force and anti-skating setting for this cartridge?
Have a problem with auto start. If I try to use auto start the arm goes staight to the centre of the record, returns to the rest and switches off. Arm does not lower at any point.
Turntable works fine manually and arm returns to rest and switches off at end of record as it should do.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix the auto start?

1.5 on both dials should have been the factory standard settings - then you can do further fine-tuning by ear/test record...

And, sorry, no idea on the autostart problem, 'cause I'm not familiar with the internals of the 455 and haven't found a service manual yet...

Greetings from Munich!

Hi Manfred,
Thanks for your help. Thought it probably should be 1.5 and 1.5, but find that unless I set tracking weight to 1.75 to 2 and turn anti-skating down to zero, I am getting problems with stylus sticking in groove. I wonder if whole anti-skating setting mechanism could have slipped in some way?
Any help would be much appreciated, as I quite like the sound the turntable produces and it's very quiet. Would like a 750 or 5000, but can't afford one at the moment
Alan
