Not all very rare and some affordable but still chasing
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia (PT stuff now going for ridiculous prices)
Quatermass - Quatermass
Agitation Free - 2nd (silly money - someone please reissue it!)
T2 - It'll All Work Out in Boomland (Decca original)
Caravan - If I Could Do It Again...
Pink Floyd - Saucerful of Secrets
Franco Battiato - Clic
Catapilla - Catapila
Kevin Ayers - Joy of a Toy
Giles and McDonald - S/T
Leaf Hound - Growers of Mushroom (the impossible! copy just sold on eBay for nearly £4.5k!)
Clear Blue Sky - Clear Blue Sky
Cressida - Cressida
Cressida - Asylum
Ash Ra Tempel - Starring Rosi
Audience - Friend's Friend's Friend
Beggars Opera - Act One
Plus I'd really like the full Classic Records Zep set. Got some but need the lot!
If anybody's got any of these for less than a tenner each... |

^ Porcupine Tree - In Absentia (PT stuff now going for ridiculous prices)
I wrote to K-Scope / Burning Shed recently asking if they were planning on re-releasing some of PT's albums (they have done two or three), well.... they didn't exactly say no, so will keep my ear to the ground
http://www.burningshed.com/store/porcupinetree/
Catapilla - Catapila, Leaf Hound - Growers of Mushroom, Clear Blue Sky, Cressida - Cressida, Cressida - Asylum ....reissued on Akarma
The Classic Records Led Zep albums are discontinued and fetching 80 -100 GPB... : , highly recommended they all sound brilliant !

Remember folks, seriously rare does not always equal 'good music'! Do you really want to spend £4 grand on an average bluesy psych album? _________________ If ignorance is bliss, why aren't there more happy people? |

Yeah the Zep Classic Records presses are superb - I have I, III, Coda and they all sound amazing. Would love the rest, especially Houses and Physical Graffiti. But the prices are going crazy now, copies of Houses going for well over £150. Should've bought the lot when they came out instead of dithering and being all poor. Pshaw!
PT stuff - I spoke to the guys from Tonefloat last year about the possibility of issuing a vinyl version of Recordings (among others) and they said it was in the pipeline. A year or so on.... nowt.
Then again Steven Wilson is so bloody prolific that finding a gap in his release schedule is pretty impossible.
Maybe KScope will have more success in repressing earlier PT stuff, I really would like to have In Absentia (probably my favourite PT album).
I managed to snap up a red vinyl version of Deadwing last year for £50 and thought that was pricey. Now it seems you can't get a copy for under £150. Crazy!
The Akarma presses are good (I've got Room's Pre-Flight) but even their press of the Leaf Hound album goes for upwards of £50.
Take the point about it being a fairly rudimentary blues psych album which is why i'd never pay £4k for it. £20 on a reissue would be fine. |

I Sold my remaining 180grm Classic Led Zeppelins about 2.5 yrs ago. Only got between £18 and £30 for them. (had upgraded to 200grm). Should have kept the duplicates but wanted to turn over the cash. Last time I looked Redspark Music (online UK store) had some titles left at normal retail prices. |

Hi,
would jump at getting new samples of these two (now getting worn out from playing):
Artur Rubinstein playing Grieg piano concerto, RCA orchestra (Chicago Symphony?), Alfred Wallenstein, conductor. RCA LSC-2566.
Hermann Sherchen conducting Vienna State Opera Orchestra, on album "Mephisto Waltz". Westminster label, WST 14054...great conducting of light classics, and very amiable stereo sound.
Regards,

| I kept looking for "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots" by The Flaming Lips after hearing a friend's copy on vinyl. Last week after a visit with him, he handed me a wrapped package. Inside was a sealed copy. It has a few pops but is cherished. This is fetching fancy money ($85-$100). Nice gesture and I am still in shock. |

OOoops!
After moaning about the prices fetched for copies of Agitation Free's 2nd album (certainly on Vertigo swirls - between £500 and £700) I just hit enter on a 1979 French press on Atmosphere/IRI records for about £50.
After promising Mrs Arc to go easy this month (what with having errr no money) I'm now a dead man. |

Bought my copy of Mellon in 1995, No 3183. Paid £12 UK
Talk Talk "Spirit of Eden" evaded me for a long time, but finally got one.
Would like Neil Young "On the Beach" but not prepapred to pay crazy money for it. _________________ You'll hear Angel Trumpets and Devil Trombones...you are invited.

I was lucky enough to snaffle a mint copy of this a few years after its release. Obviously the person who bought it listened to about 8 bars, didn't find 'Life's What You Make It Pt 2' and offloaded it. Silly sod. |

A copy of Neil Young's Broken Arrow went along with 3 other albums for £38 the other day.
Usually sells for £60 by itself.
I was outbid and my internet went slow so couldnt rebid _________________ This stereo record cannot be played on old tin boxes no matter what they are fitted with |

Legendary Pink Dots - The Crushed Velvet Apocalypse. I have it now, albeit a worn out copy I've had for many, many years. A survivor of many parties when Vinyl was common. Always re-released on CD, but the glorious vinyl... Play It Again Sam (PIAS) record in Holland. What a great label they were (are?) at pressing vinyl. Not heavy weight, but polished. Very quiet records indeed! _________________ Kent

| I'm still after Slowdive's Souvlaki, The Jayhawks Tomorrow The Green Grass and The City "Now That Everything's Been Said". The latter features a life-changing version of Wasn't Born To Follow. These fetch a fair bit so I'm hoping for some reissues soon. |

I've got that and the "Sound of Lies" on LP. "lies" is a regular visitor to the T/T, Green Grass less so, maybe I need to play it again. _________________ You'll hear Angel Trumpets and Devil Trombones...you are invited.
