Victor's last top turntable ~1982/83. sold only in japan. The frame and plate are equal to the QL-Y66F

Quartz Dual-Servo direct-drive with manual pitch control and strobe. High-compliance straight arm.

The inside of the QL-A2 turntable. That's about 8 lbs. of modeling clay, which is used to dampen and significantly cut down on unwanted vibrations and mechanical energy. I wanted to share this for reference.

Thanks to The Chair Guy for inventing the turntable clay mod.

JVC QL-A2 turntable. The platter was given a couple coats of rubberized undercoat (found in auto stores), and then gold spray paint. The chassis has been packed with 8 lbs. of modeling clay, and all gears have been cleaned out.
