2.2x3.6-mil modified delta stylus, diamond cantilever and solid gold wiring. Features constant dc magnetic flux; no internal coil; one point support for cantilever. 10-30kHz frequency resp. 1db balance, 25db separation, and 3 ohm output impedance. 7x10-6cm/dyne dynamic compliance. Priced at $2k in 1982.

Nagatron was so proud of the specifications of the Z-Coupler that the specifications were actually printed on the bottom panel. The selection and purification process of materials used cost Nagatron a lot of time and $. The transformers were triple shielded. Over 10,000 units were sold.

Diamond cantilever with a specially shaped stylus appears to be the same as the one on Jeweltone JT-Riii/D.

Bottom plate removed showing 8 C-size batteries. The HA-9000 was specifically designed for the HV-9100 cartridge. An all FET job with an extremely high rejection rate in manufacturing. The quality of batteries also came into play in terms of noise and performance. Only a few were sold and even fewer have survived.

Nagatron AU-2000 appeared to be a rebadged Jeweltone JT-Riii-D. Same specifications with superficial differences in the casing.

AU-2000 was the last and most advanced ribbon cartridge by Nagatron. Shown here with its predecessor the HV-9100 which although heavier and taller has similar specifications. According to Nagatronics only 600 units of HV-9100 were made and sold in the US.

This is THE famous Nagatron/Nagaoka ribbon cartridge that created quite a stir in the audio world when it first appeared. Shown here with an SME 3012 on a hammertone Garrard 301.

Not sure whether this is designed by Anthony Michaelson or Kevin Austin or someone else but this is one of the last products by Michaelson and Austin. It uses 12 tubes, six 12AX7s and six 12AT7s, in a constant current configuration. RIAA correction is passive with input RC loading selections. The separate power supply which is solid state is not shown.

Early Canary product. One of the better sounding 300B amps. The input tube is a RCA 6SL7 Red Base; the rectifier used is 5U4, and the output tube, Western Electric reissue.

Input tube: RCA 6SL7 Red Base; Driver: WE 300B reissue; Output: RCA Radiotron 845.
