Description
The need of a moving coil cartridge to work into the correct resistive load in order to perform optimally is well known.
The Vandersteen OL-1 has 14 possible resistance values to properly load almost any moving coil cartridge.
Even when properly loaded however, most cartridges exhibit a rising high frequency response that cannot be controlled by resistance.
To counteract this problem the OL-1 has two types of high frequency equalization, utilising output capacitance, to tailor its response at selectable frequencies.
