Toshiba SR-50
Two Speed Belt Drive Turntable with auto cut-off and arm filter

Description
The Toshiba SR-50 is a revolutionary player with many excellent features:
Photoelectronic cartridge - The first high performance cartridge of it's kind.
Transistor motor - A motor is employed which has a low vibration, semi-permanent life and whose commutator, brushes and governor have been successfully replaced with a perfect electronic system (transistors) even though the motor is a DC motor.
Electronic Photo-up - The completion of a record playing is detected by light in order to raise the stylus tip from the record surface. Therefore, the stylus tip does not suffer harm as happens on mechanical detection.
Arm Elevation System - The oil elevation system employed can automatically raise and lower the pickup arm with a simple knob operation. This provides enjoyable record playing without injuring valuable records and styli.
Belt Drive System - Use of a polyurethane belt makes this player the best of belt drive types, with reduced noise.
Double Floating System - The turntable and the pickup arm of the SR-50 are arranged so as to doubly prevent vibrations with respect to the motor, thus shutting out vibrations perfectly.
