Sony PUA-1500

Universal Gimbal Bearing Tonearm (1971-)

Sony PUA-1500

Description

The Sony PUA-1500S and 1500L were improved versions of the professional PUA-237 and 286 tonearms, designed to extract optimum performance from your sound system.

True precision in the manufacturing process, excellent design, and Sony craftsmanship are combined to provide a remarkable component for your sound system.

Features include a highly sensitive gimbal-support system employing precision miniature ball bearings.

A special lateral balancer completely different from that of ordinary tonearms, which once lateral balance is obtained, it will be maintained when the stylus descends on a record.

Highly advanced bias compensator with a cam structure cancels the inside thrust force at every position on a record - the compensation value changes continuously in accordance with groove diameter.

Arm height is easily adjusted to accommodate practically every cartridge on the market.

An extra weight permits any heavier cartridge to be used with these arms.
