Description

The Ortofon Pick-up is designed to give undistorted reproduction of lateral recordings both of the ordinary moulded types and of the laquer type. On account of the low pressure required it may even be used to reproduce wax records.

The Ortofon Pick-up is of the electrodynamic type, the mobile element consisting of a long, thin coil. The inertia and the directional force of the mobile element is reduced to a minimum.

Consequently the force required to follow the groove both at low and high frequencies is very small, and only a slight vertical pressure of the needle is required.
