Description
All Micro Seiki RX-1500 platter units feature a quadruplex suspension system.
This consists of coil spring, rubber diaphragm supported piston, compressed air and high viscosity oil.
These four components form an effective guard against vibration and microphonic feedback.
The RX-1500VG and RX-1500FVG use a vacuum suction pump.
A vacuum pump seals the record disc securely to the platter.
This not only corrects for warps in the record disc but more importantly, ensures positive contact between record disc and platter.
This contact reduces or mutes resonances and surface reflection in the system.
The RX-1500FVG benefits from the additional refinement of an air bearing system.
This system floats a heavy platter 0.03mm over the base.
This provides ideal platter rotation without mechanical friction in the direction of thrust.
