Lyra Dorian mono
Mono moving-coil phono cartridge designed by Jonathan Carr and industrially manufactured to Lyras specifications. For optimal monaural playback, core and coils are oriented at 90 degrees rather than 45 degrees that is appropriate for stereo playback. The cartridge has a solid boron cantilever with micro-ridge line-contact stylus.

Description
The Dorian Mono is capable of playing both monaural and stereo vinyl records, but stereo records will of course only be reproduced in mono. However, never use this cartridge with shellac (non-vinyl) 78rpm records. If your phono input is designed for MM cartridges, you need to use and additional head-amp or transformer (in case of a transformer, it must be a type which is dedicated to low-impedance cartridges of 10ohms or less) between the cartridge and the 47kohm MM phono input.
