Direct-Coupled Moving Coil Cartridge
Description
The JVC MC-2E uses a direct-coupled configuration in which a micro-coil is attached to the forward point (just behind the stylus) of the cantilever providing the following advantages:
Flat frequency response with reduced phase delay is obtained since the cantilever and the stylus make almost identical movements.
Stable performance is assured since the effect of temperature fluctuations on the cantilever and the damper is negligible thanks to the coil being near the stylus.
