Description
The Goldring no.501 is a high quality transcription arm for use with the no.500 phono cartridge.
The arm has been designed to give the highest performance on all types of record including 16" transcriptions.
Since the no.500 cartridge has a characteristic closely approaching true constant-velocity response, equalisation for the varying recording characteristics may be obtained by means of simple resistance - capacitor networks.
If the cartridge is to be used with domestic receivers or amplifiers which require an input signal of the order of 0.5V, a pre-amplifier will be required.
