Stereo Moving-Coil Phono Cartridge
Description
The MC201 does not use magnetic material for the coil core, therefore, there is no moving magnetic material in the magnetic circuit and only coil moves. So FR called it real Moving Coil Cartridge.
As a result, there is no distortion of the type that usually arises from typical imperfect transducer 'magnetic core' MC Cartridges.
High coercivity magnet and developed yoke construction dramatically increase efficiency of the magnetic circuit (approx. 1.6 times over the FR-1MK3F), and yet it allows the number of coil windings to be reduced.
The tracking cantilever is feather light and two-thirds the size of other MC cartridges, which enables higher tracking ability than those of previous MC cartridges.
