ESL S-2000
High quality gimbal bearing tonearm designed for mono or stereo cartridges such as the ESL Gyro/Jewel.

Description
Your ESL S-2000 transcription arm is the finest device of its kind made today.
Prior to the introduction of the Gyro/Balance principle by ESL in the spring of 1959, optimum phonograph playback required very precise aligment and leveling of turntables. Otherwise, gravitational forces made a cartridge stylus ride only one side of the record groove, causing undue wear and distortion.
With the advent of Stereo recording the situation became truly critical.
