I have own this turntable purchase new in 1977. It currently has a Denon DL304 cart. on it. It plays perfect!

Better quality belt drive changer unit. Dual was still building high quality great sounding units. Belt drive means quieter performance, but be prepared to replace belts or deal with slippage when the changer operates. Clean and lube every couple of years for best performance.

Sonically, an outstanding combo with the standard Dual OEM Shure V15-III. Speed is rock-solid, very low hum, rumble, noise. Finiky, though. I've heard the 10 and 12 series Duals described as like fine swiss watches, and I agree; to perform to their best, be prepared for some TLC. But the rewards are well worth the effort, to maintain a true audio classic!

Duals owe their lineage to the clock makers in the Black Forrest. Note the movements of the arm as it auto cues and returns, like clockworks. My fourth Dual, and I installed a Shure V15 III. A great table musical with prat. I dislike the grubby plastic base.

To begin with, I'd just like to know how to remove the turntable from the wooden case. The audio cables seem to be shot, and I keep getting a feedback hum so I'd like to make sure the ground is well connected. But I can't get into the darn thing. I'll keep trying, but I don't want to break anything.
