2-Speed Fully automatic Idler-drive turntable
Description
The Dual 1228 can be used on 50 or 60Hz mains supplies with the appropriate motor pulley fitted.
Drive is via a 4-pole synchronous motor and idler to a non-magnetic, 1.8kg 270mm diameter platter.
The unit supports 33 1/3 and 45rpm speeds and has an automatic tonearm set-down coupled to the speed selector.
Pitch control can be adjusted approximately one semi-tone (6%) at both platter speeds and checked via the stroboscopic light.
The 1228 comes fitted with a torsion resistant, aluminium tonearm with universal four-point gimbal suspension and accepts all standard 1/2 inch mount cartridges with a dead weight (including fixtures) of 2-8g.
