1226 Speed Trouble during refurb.
Submitted on December 20th, 2009 by jstarzyRefurbing a 1226 from ebay. Got through repair of auto function and cueing but platter is running fast. Fine and course adjustments are working but only make it go faster and not to the center speed of 33 or 45. Is this a motor frequency problem, idler or pitch mechanism issue? Any help would be much appreciated.
Also, how difficult is it to restore damped cueing? I have set the correct heights, lifting and dropping works but the dampening is not working. Is fluid easily available?
