Two Speed Belt Drive Turntable

Description
The Audiomeca Belladonna makes use of a unique solution to the motor - logical and very simple.
Firstly the motor itself has been chosen from the many available for its low-noise performance. It is then heavily modified and mounted in a lead block weighing 3kg. Then the complete block is carried on the two Motor Pillars via two adjustable spikes, using the drive belt tension to balance the unit.
In effect the Motor Block 'leans back' against the tension of the belt. This tension is adjusted by moving the motor back and forth with the Tension Adjuster on the Motor Island. This all contributes to very low levels of motor noise.
The Balanced Motor system also means that the belt tension is kept constant as the motor can move slightly in response to platter drag.
The belt can also be relaxed between listening sessions by placing the Belt Control Knob in the rest position.
