Pioneer
Founded in 1938 in Tokyo. Pioneer produced one of the most popular budget decks of the 1970's in the PL12D but by the time of its linear tracking statement turntable the PL-1000 they had already chosen to drop vinyl in favour of the emerging CD technology.
