Cartridge Database

Model

Type in the model number desired - you may enter all or part of the model number. If you are having trouble locating a cartridge try entering part of the model number.

For example, if you are trying to locate the Denon DL-103D select Denon from the manufacturers drop down and type in 103 in the Model text box.

The database will return all Denon cartridges with '103' in the model number.

Stylus tip

Type in the stylus description - you may enter all or part of the stylus description.

For example, if you are trying to locate an Audio Technica with a line contact stylus, select Audio Technica from the Manufacturers drop down and type in contact in the Stylus text box ('Line Contact', 'Linear Contact' or many variations of stylus descriptions may exist).

The database will then return all Audio Technica cartridges with 'contact' in the stylus description.

Cantilever

Type in the cantilever description - you may enter all or part of the cantilever description.

For example, if you are trying to locate an Audio Technica with a gold plated boron cantilever select Audio Technica from the Manufacturers drop down and type in gold or boron in the Cantilever text box.

The database will then return all Audio Technica cartridges with 'gold' or 'boron' in the cantilever description.

Stylus ID

Type in the replacement stylus ID - you may enter all or part of the ID.

For example, If you are trying to locate a black Shure replacement stylus select Shure from the manufacturers drop down and type in black in the Stylus ID text box and the database will return all Shure cartridges with 'black' in the Stylus ID information.

If you only have the stylus ID and are trying to locate the cartridge, type this into the Stylus ID text box and the database will return all cartridges with that text in the Stylus ID information.

Output voltage

Enter the cartridge’s output voltage (in millivolts) in the Output Voltage text boxes. There are two Output Voltage text boxes. This allows you to enter a voltage range (minimum and maximum voltage).

If you enter a value in the first text box only this is the same as saying I want all cartridges with an output voltage at least X mv or greater (you are specifying the minimum voltage for the results).

If you enter a value in the second text box only this is the same as saying I want cartridges with an output voltage greater than zero and up to the maximum that you have specified.

Dynamic compliance

Enter the cartridge’s lateral dynamic compliance (10-6 cm/Dyne) in the Dynamic Compliance text boxes. There are two Lateral Dynamic Compliance text boxes. This allows you to enter a compliance range (minimum and maximum compliance).

If you enter a value in the first text box only this is the same as saying I want all cartridges with a compliance at least X 10-6 cm/Dyne or greater (you are specifying the minimum compliance for the results).

If you enter a value in the second text box only this is the same as saying I want cartridges with a compliance greater than zero and up to the maximum that you have specified.

Cartridge mass

Enter the cartridge’s mass (in grams) in the Cartridge Mass text boxes. There are two Cartridge Mass text boxes. This allows you to enter a cartridge mass range (minimum and maximum mass).

If you enter a value in the first text box only this is the same as saying I want all cartridges with a mass at least X gm or greater (you are specifying the minimum mass for the results).

If you enter a value in the second text box only this is the same as saying I want cartridges with a mass greater than zero and up to the maximum that you have specified.

Retail price

Enter the cartridge’s price (in US dollars) in the Retail Price text boxes. There are two price text boxes. This allows you to enter a price range (minimum and maximum price).

If you enter a value in the first text box only this is the same as saying I want all cartridges with a price at least X dollars or greater (you are specifying the minimum price for the results).

If you enter a value in the second text box only this is the same as saying I want cartridges with a price greater than zero and up to the maximum that you have specified.

Notes

Type in the text you wish to search for. You may combine the notes search with any other search criteria.

If you are having trouble locating a cartridge try entering part of the notes text.

For example, if you are trying to locate an ivory cartridge clear all search information and type ivory in the notes text box. The database will then return all cartridges with 'ivory' in the notes information.
